Best padel apps for Apple Watch: we analysed all 351 on the App Store
The short answer
Apple Watch has no padel workout, so you need an app, and there are now 351 to choose from. Most are brand new and barely used. To keep score for free, start with Padel Point: it has no in-app purchases at all and the best reviews of any padel scorekeeper. If your club plays the new star point or Americano, Padel Pointer and PadelCounter list the most formats. To count and classify your shots, Padelio is the most popular app but needs a Pro subscription on the watch; Smash does it for free, with shot types and swing speed.
Our picks
Best-rated free scorekeeper
No in-app purchases at all, and 44 of its 48 recent written reviews give it five stars. Includes a Mexicano organiser on the iPhone.
Most scoring formats
Lists classic, golden, silver and star point, a 10-point match tie-break and Americano setups from 16 to 32 points.
Best for club nights
Free basic scoring, star point and Americano, plus a live scoreboard any TV or tablet can show and scoring with a Flic button.
Free shot tracking
Names every shot type, from forehand to smash, and measures its speed, with no subscription and no match limit. It's new, so it has no ratings yet.

What we found
- It's a 2026 gold rush. 275 of the 351 apps (78%) came out in 2026. 314 (89%) have fewer than 10 ratings across 12 countries, 173 have none at all, and only 8 have more than 100.
- "Free" usually just means a free download. Only 129 of the 349 apps whose store page we could read (37%) have nothing to buy. 133 (38%) sell a subscription, 29 of them with a weekly plan, and the median yearly plan costs $24.99 in the US.
- Paying is the number one complaint. Of the 226 one- and two-star reviews we read, 120 (53%) are about having to pay: nearly three times as many as complain about crashes and bugs (44).
- The star point is catching on slowly. 78 apps (22%) list the 2026 star point, but only 3 of the 10 most-rated padel scorekeepers do. Golden point is listed by 176 of the 308 scorekeepers.
- Shot tracking is rare. Only 12 apps say they detect your shots with the watch's motion sensors, and only 5 of those have nothing to buy.
New padel apps for Apple Watch, by year of release
All 351 apps, by the year they first appeared on the App Store.
275 of the 351 were released in 2026, the year Apple Watch padel apps went from a niche to a flood. 21 haven't been updated in the past 12 months.
How padel watch apps charge
349 apps whose App Store page we could read (US prices).
Of the 133 subscription apps, 29 offer a weekly plan. The median yearly plan costs $24.99 in the US (111 apps list one).
What 1- and 2-star reviewers complain about
226 one- and two-star reviews of 114 padel watch apps, in English, Spanish, French, Italian and other languages. A review can raise more than one problem.
Out of 806 written reviews in total. Topics are matched by keywords in each review's language, so treat the shares as approximate.
Why you need an app for padel on Apple Watch
Apple's Workout app still has no padel workout type. Without an app, most players start a Tennis workout or "Other". That records time, heart rate and an estimate of calories, but nothing about the match: no score, no sets, no shots.
Padel apps for the watch do one or both of two jobs:
- Keeping score. You tap the watch after each point and it keeps the score, the server and the sets. This is what almost all of the 351 apps do.
- Tracking shots. The app reads the watch's motion sensors and counts your shots, sorts them by type and measures swing speed, without any tapping. Only 12 apps say they do this.
Most of these apps save the session to Apple Health as a workout, so your Activity rings still fill.
The 10 apps worth trying first
Out of 351, we picked the apps that have real users (ratings in many countries), were updated in the last few months, and do the job well according to their own users. Every fact in each box is from the App Store; prices are US prices.
Padel Point
- Price
- Free
- Ratings
- 4.8★ from 146 ratings (11 countries)
- Current version
- 5.7.0 (updated Oct 31, 2026)
- Developer
- Frederique De Sousa
- Needs
- watchOS 9.6 or later
Padel Point has no in-app purchases listed on its App Store page at all, which makes it the only well-rated padel scorekeeper with nothing to buy. It handles advantage, golden point and tie-breaks, starts the workout for you, and lets you step back up to five points if you tap the wrong side. On the iPhone it adds a Mexicano tournament organiser that builds the teams and keeps a live leaderboard.
It has the highest average rating of any padel scorekeeper with more than 100 ratings, and 44 of its 48 recent written reviews are five stars, mostly from France and Spain. The one recent complaint (October 2026) said it didn't work properly after the watchOS 26 update. Its description doesn't mention the star point.
Padel Pointer
- Price
- Free, in-app $4.99–$49.99
- Ratings
- 4.5★ from 33 ratings (8 countries)
- Current version
- 1.4.7 (updated Oct 12, 2026)
- Developer
- Alexander Dernie
- Needs
- watchOS 26.0 or later
Padel Pointer, released in January 2026, lists more ways to score than any other app on this list: classic advantage, golden point, silver point and star point, a full final set or a 10-point match tie-break, LTA FAST4, and ready-made Americano rounds of 16, 20, 24, 28 or 32 points. You can save your own match setups and sync them to the watch. Matches are saved as Apple Health workouts with heart rate zones, and the iPhone app breaks down holds, breaks and deciding points.
It needs watchOS 26, the newest requirement here, so older watches are out. Its reviews are good but few; one user (April 2026) couldn't use it for scoring alone without giving it Apple Health access.
PadelCounter
- Price
- Free, in-app $2.99–$22.99
- Ratings
- 4.5★ from 42 ratings (6 countries)
- Current version
- 25 (updated Nov 2, 2026)
- Developer
- Jonas Loderhose
- Needs
- watchOS 10.4 or later
PadelCounter is built for the social side of padel. Basic scoring is free "now and always", according to its App Store page, with golden point, star point, tie-break, match tie-break, Americano and timed matches. You can score with the Digital Crown, the Action Button on an Apple Watch Ultra, or a Flic Bluetooth button, and any TV, tablet or laptop at the club can show the live score in a browser, with a voice announcer in 20+ languages. Filming your match with the score on screen and streaming it are paid extras.
Both of its low-star reviews are about money: a player who originally paid once and found the features moved to a subscription (March 2026), and one who set the app up and was then asked to pay (October 2026).
Padel Watch
- Price
- Free, in-app $2.99–$44.99
- Ratings
- 3.7★ from 145 ratings (12 countries)
- Current version
- 1.1.13 (updated Jun 29, 2026)
- Developer
- GARCIA DE PALAU ROCA PABLO
- Needs
- watchOS 8.5 or later
Padel Watch is one of the oldest padel apps for the watch (2022) and one of the few established ones that lists the star point, alongside advantage and golden point. Scoring on the watch and the iPhone is free; detailed stats are a subscription. It tracks the server, has a one-tap undo and an optional workout mode.
The catch is reliability. Its average rating is the lowest on this list, and 9 of the 19 one- and two-star reviews we read describe the app closing mid-match and losing the score, from 2024 to June 2026. A September 2026 review says the app drops to the clock face between points, so you have to raise your wrist and wait before you can tap.
PadelTick
- Price
- Free, in-app $1.99–$34.99
- Ratings
- 4.7★ from 236 ratings (12 countries)
- Current version
- 1.8.1 (updated Oct 25, 2026)
- Developer
- Philipp Schmid
- Needs
- watchOS 10.0 or later
PadelTick is a watch-first scorekeeper that saves every match to Apple Health with heart rate and calories, keeps a match history with rally counts, and can share the score live with friends or a coach. Its subscription, PadelTick+, costs $1.99 a week, $3.99 a month or $34.99 a year in the US. Reviewers split on it: one says the basics work fine without paying (July 2026), another that most of what you'd want is behind "a pretty steep subscription" (February 2026).
PadelMax
- Price
- Free, in-app $1.99–$29.99
- Ratings
- 4.5★ from 221 ratings (12 countries)
- Current version
- 2.16 (updated Sep 11, 2026)
- Developer
- RSApps Nordics
- Needs
- watchOS 10.0 or later
PadelMax's standout feature is shared scoring: other players with an Apple Watch can join the same match and see the score on their own wrist. It records the workout automatically, syncs your history through iCloud, and lets you choose golden point or tie-breaks. Two recent reviews report crashes during play (September 2026) and the watch going back to the clock face mid-match (June 2026).
PadelPro
- Price
- Free, in-app $2.99–$39.99
- Ratings
- 4.4★ from 73 ratings (11 countries)
- Current version
- 1.1.33 (updated Oct 23, 2026)
- Developer
- MIKAPPS LIMITED
- Needs
- watchOS 10.6 or later
PadelPro, released in February 2026, is a clean scoreboard with automatic tie-breaks, serve rotation, deuce and advantage side indicators, an Americano mode scored by total points, and break-point stats afterwards. It needs no account and shows no ads. Its description doesn't mention golden point or star point, and it has too few written reviews to say anything about reliability.
Racketly
- Price
- Free, in-app $4.99–$99.00
- Ratings
- 4.5★ from 305 ratings (11 countries)
- Current version
- 5.1.2 (updated Oct 24, 2026)
- Developer
- Marcelo Laprea
- Needs
- watchOS 10.0 or later
Racketly keeps score for padel, tennis and pickleball and can film your match. It has the second-most ratings of any padel scorekeeper, but 9 of the 13 low-star reviews we read are about paying: reviewers say it became paid in late 2025, and one (February 2026) says the free version tracks only one match a month.
Padelio
- Price
- Free, in-app $3.99–$99.99
- Ratings
- 4.7★ from 3,811 ratings (12 countries)
- Current version
- 3.3.0 (updated Nov 6, 2026)
- Developer
- Marcos Sabaris
- Needs
- watchOS 10.0 or later
Padelio is the most popular padel app for Apple Watch by far, with close to 4,000 ratings and 4.7 stars in the US. It does both jobs: it recognises your strokes (lobs, volleys, bandejas, víboras and smashes) from the watch's sensors and keeps score, including live scoring with other players on court.
Its recent reviews tell a different story from its rating. Of the 113 written reviews we read, 67 are one or two stars, and 57 of those are about having to pay: reviewers in the US, Spain, Italy and Mexico say the app asks for Pro before it will do anything on the watch. Pro costs $3.99 to $6.99 a week, $44.99 a year, or $69.99 to $99.99 once in the US.
Smash
- Price
- Free
- Ratings
- No ratings yet
- Current version
- 1.0 (updated Sep 29, 2026)
- Developer
- Hedgehog Solutions SIA
- Needs
- watchOS 26.0 or later
Smash is a shot tracker, not a scorekeeper. You start a match on the watch and play without tapping; it counts every shot, separates forehands, backhands, volleys, serves, bandejas, lobs and smashes, measures the speed of each one, and draws a heatmap of where you moved on court. Its App Store page says there's no subscription and no cap on matches. It was released in September 2026, has no ratings yet, and needs watchOS 26.
Four other free apps with nothing to buy say they detect shots: Winner Padel and Kourt OS pick up hard swings, Padelino counts every hit, and Puntos Padel shows stats by shot type on compatible watches. None of them lists the speed of every shot. PadelLabs, a paid unlock, recognises nine stroke types and rates each one.
Advantage, golden point or star point
Padel has three ways to settle a game at 40–40 (deuce):
- Advantage: the traditional rule. You need two points in a row to win the game, so a game can go on for a long time.
- Golden point (punto de oro): one deciding point at deuce, and the receiving pair chooses which side receives it. It was used on the professional tours until the star point replaced it in 2026, and it's common in club play.
- Star point: the format used on the professional tours since 2026. Advantage is played at most twice; if the game is still level after that, one deciding point settles it.
A scorekeeper that doesn't support the format your club plays is useless, so check this first. We found 78 apps (22%) that list the star point in their App Store description, but most are new 2026 apps with few ratings: among the 10 most-rated padel scorekeepers, only Padel Watch, PadelCounter and Padel scoreboard list it. Padel Pointer, further down the list, does too. Golden point is far more common: 176 of the 308 scorekeepers list it.
The 30 most-rated padel apps for Apple Watch
Every padel scorekeeper and shot tracker for Apple Watch with the most ratings across 12 countries. "Yes" means the app's App Store description lists that format; "—" means it doesn't mention it, which doesn't always mean it's missing.

Download all 351 apps as a CSV: names, App Store links, release and update dates, prices and in-app purchases, pricing model, ratings, and the formats and features each description lists. Free to use under CC BY 4.0; please credit AppStack HQ and link to this page.
How we did this
This is a data study, not a hands-on test: we didn't play with all 351 apps. On 6 November 2026 we:
- Searched the App Store for padel apps with an Apple Watch app in 12 countries where padel is popular (Spain, Sweden, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Argentina, Mexico, the UAE, the UK and the US), in English and Spanish. That found 441 apps; we kept the 351 that are made for padel (padel in the name, or mentioned at least three times in the description).
- Totalled each app's ratings across those 12 countries and read every app's App Store page for its US prices and in-app purchases. For the 13 apps that aren't sold in the US store we read another country's page, which tells us how they charge but not their US price; 2 pages couldn't be read.
- Read 806 written reviews of 114 of the apps (up to 150 per country for the 25 most-rated, the latest ones for the rest), in every language they came in, and grouped the 1- and 2-star ones by complaint using keywords in each language.
- Checked each app's description for golden point, star point, Americano, shot detection and Apple Health.
What this can't tell you is how well each app works on court, or whether a feature works the way its description says. The full method is on the How we test page.
Questions people ask
Can you track padel on Apple Watch?
Yes, with an app. Apple Watch has no padel workout of its own, so you either log padel as Tennis or Other, which records time and heart rate but not the match, or use one of the 351 padel apps on the App Store. Scorekeepers keep the score when you tap after each point; shot trackers such as Padelio and Smash count your shots from the watch's motion sensors. Most save the session to Apple Health as a workout.
What's the best free padel scoring app for Apple Watch?
Padel Point is the best-rated free option: it has no in-app purchases at all, and 44 of its 48 recent written reviews are five stars. Padel Watch's scoring is also free, and it supports the star point, but more of its users report crashes mid-match. PadelCounter's basic scoring is free too, with paid extras.
Is Padelio free?
The download is free, but most of the recent 1- and 2-star reviews we read (57 of 67) say you have to buy Padelio Pro before it does anything useful on the watch. In the US, Pro costs $3.99 to $6.99 a week, $44.99 a year, or $69.99 to $99.99 once.
Which padel apps support the star point?
The star point is the deuce format used on the pro tours since 2026: advantage at most twice, then one deciding point. In November 2026, 78 of the 351 padel apps for Apple Watch listed it in their App Store descriptions. Among the established ones, Padel Watch, PadelCounter and Padel Pointer do. The full dataset has a column for it.
Can Apple Watch count my padel shots?
Yes, with a shot tracker. These apps use the watch's accelerometer and gyroscope to detect each swing and guess what kind of shot it was. Only 12 of the 351 padel watch apps say they do this; Padelio is the most popular, and Smash is free with no subscription. Wear the watch on your racket arm.
Do I need my iPhone on court?
No, for most of these apps. PadelTick, PadelPro, PadelCounter, Padel Pointer and Smash all say they work on the watch alone, with the iPhone left in your bag; the match syncs to the phone afterwards.
Do these apps work on Garmin or Samsung watches?
No. Everything here is an Apple Watch app. Garmin watches use apps from Garmin's Connect IQ store, and Samsung Galaxy Watches use Wear OS apps from Google Play.
